- Attach the number 3 tip on the gun
- Open both valves at least two turns on your gun
- Back the pressure off of both regulators on the tanks so there is no pressure on the lines
- Turn on the Oxygen tank and the Acetylene tank
- Turn your Acetylene regulator (at the tank) on just enough to light the torch
- After you have lit the torch, adjust the Acetylene regulator to just over 4 pounds of pressure by viewing it on the gauge
- Adjust your Oxygen regulator until you get a neutral flame at the end of the gun barrel. (NOTE: You will usually show no pressure reading on your oxygen gauge. )
- You are now ready to weld.
- Follow the extended instructions in your manual, DVD, or refer to our free online training videos.
- NOTE: You can loosen or tighten the packing nuts behind the oxygen and acetylene valve for the right tension on the knobs.
